John Fogerty, the lead singer and principal songwriter for Creedence Clearwater Revival, wrote the 1970 hit "Who'll Stop the Rain". Fogerty was inspired by his experience performing at the 1969 Woodstock Festival, where he watched half a million people huddle together to endure a massive downpour.
