A War Too Far
This is a short film inspired by the Vietnam war from 1963 to 1973.
The footage is original 16mm stock from the era shot mostly by
the US Army, the BBC and the North Vietnamese Army.
The respective owners are credited at the end.
The images are commented by the lyrics of popular songs of the era,
subtitled for convenience. Together with the sound effects they are
an integral part of the film, therefore we recommend keeping the volume
sufficiently loud from the start.
The authors of the music and lyrics are quoted in the end credits.
No chronological order is followed by either the music nor the images.
Dedicated to the people of all sides who suffered the insanity and the horror of the events.
Music:
Feel Like i'm Fixing to Die Rag : sung and written by Country Joe McDonald
Hush: sung by Deep Purple, written by Joe South.
21st Century Schizoid Man: sung by King Crimson, written by I.McDonald, M.Giles, G.Lake, P.Sinfield, R.Fripp
