Ken joins his co-host for the “Things We Said Today” podcast discussing the Beatles creative peak, with Allan believing that all the Beatles’ albums just got better peaking with “Abbey Road.” Allan has authored the Beatles books “From The Cavern To The Rooftop,” and “Got That Something: How The Beatles’ ‘I Want To Hold Your Hand’ Changed Everything.” For many years, he wrote articles for the New York Times for their Classical Music department, and he continues to write for Beatlefan magazine, and freelance for the Wall Street Journal and other publications. He is currently working on a series of books with Adrian Sinclair on Paul McCartney’s solo-career, “The McCartney Legacy,” the first volume of which is due out in 2022. We talk a bit on what to expect in Vol. 1 and the series.
