According to Yoko Ono, the Beatles “divorced” because they were becoming very independent. She said Paul was the only one trying to hold the Beatles together, but the other Beatles thought Paul was trying to make it into his band, which they didn’t like.

When Paul McCartney was asked why the Beatles broke up, he said, “Personal differences, business differences, musical differences—but most of all, because I have a better time with my family.”
