In 1994, Paul McCartney, George Harrison and Ringo Starr reunited at Hog Hill Mill to record new material for The Beatles Anthology.
Working with producer Jeff Lynne, they used John Lennon demo recordings to create “Free As A Bird” (1995) and “Real Love” (1996) — the first new Beatles releases in over 20 years.
Ringo Starr later said:
“It was the closest we’ll ever come to having him back in the room.”
