So here’s a cool story about the Beatles Here’s a quick Beatles story involving a drummer named Jimmie Nicol who joined the band briefly for a tour of Australia in 1964.

The story goes Ringo came down with tonsillitis and had to go into hospital to have his tonsils removed but they have this tool and they couldn’t cancel easily so Brian Epstein hired a new drummer. But when Ringo returned to the band the spotlight moved of Jimmie back onto Ringo and that was the end of the story for Jimmie.

When Paul McCartney and John Lennon would ask Jimmy how things are going he would always say they are “Getting Better”, and this phrase inspired the song “Getting Better” which appeared on Sergeant Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band” in 1967. #beatles #thebeatles #beatlesstory #jimmienicol #beatlesdrummer #ringo #rockhistory
