I love Elvis’ early stuff! Its what got me hooked and there’s something so fresh and youthful about! It’s crazy how an emotion/moment in time can be transmitted through a recording. Maybe it’s the way he sings, maybe it’s the way he plays or maybe it’s just because I know his story a bit… whatever it is, I hear and feel the eagerness and excitement in the recording. A young man still trying to find his voice and style… he did a pretty good job.

The 68 comeback special is my favourite… damn that guy was cool! He really knew when to step the song up to get a reaction out of the audience, an awesome showman!
