Soul Radio vol 54 June 1984 side 2

Soul, Funk, Jazz Funk & Jazz records played by either Robbie Vincent on Radio 1 and Steve Allen on the Hereward rdio soul / dance show in June 1984. Recorded on a good quality BASF CRII 90 Cassette Tape. This is side 1.


The first three Jazz / Latin Jazz tracks on this side may be from the Steve Allen soul / dance show on Hereward Radio. These were all originally unknown, but recently identified. then there is Ghostbusters which must have been played by one of these two, or it would have been on the chart tape I made alongside this. My Kids loved that film, as did we. The rest I think were played by Robbie Vincent and include some great soul, Funk and Jazz Funk as well as a couple from the more commercial side of soul /dance music. Includes a nice long version of one of Tina Turner's best songs "Private Dancer".

When the shows were taped the DJ chat was cut out leaving just the great music. There was a lot of negativity coming from the music industry saying taping would kill the music industry. This was proven to be false, it didn't. In my experience, taping only led me to buy more and more records and tapes, and I'm still buying them now on CD's & downloads.
