Proud Mary (Creedence Clearwater Revival - Cover)

This cover has been over a year in the making (like a certain other one I foolishly suggested a few weeks ago was near completion, mama mia mama mia). I had this project sat around my computer for all this time without ever returning to it, it was around about 'Will 'O' The Wisp' and I was just feeling my way around recording full band recordings. It's pretty funny as I listened back to the old recording of it earlier this week and remembered that I thought it would be too challenging, then looking at what I've recorded in the time since I first created the project. Don't let anyone ever tell you that learn by doing isn't a valid approach for something.

This song is another one of those cases where the more famous cover version was my introduction to it, I doubt I'm alone in that one really to be honest. Tina Turner well and truly made this track her own for a whole generation and beyond but its origins of course rest with Creedence Clearwater Revival. Creedence are kinda similar to The Rolling Stones for me, in the sense that I reckon I don't know them or even don't like them, then repeatedly find myself liking each and every one of their songs I heard. One day....one day I might just do that weird thing I've heard other people do where I just listen to some of their albums! :)
