This number was probably last heard live when it was filmed in Burbank back in early 1969 for Dinah Shore's NBC special "Like, Hep!" directed by George Schlatter, who of course, had a huge hit with the Laugh-In series just the year before. This is the title number as sung by me, Jeff Macauley, in "MWAH! The Dinah Shore Show."

I Can't figure out who wrote it. Chris Bearde and Coslough Johnson are listed as the writers for the special but I can't find out specifically if they wrote the song or not. Chris Bearde tells me that Earl Brown, who wrote and arranged Dinah's special material on the Dinah Shore Chevy Show in the '50s and early '60s most likely wrote this piece.

Daryl Kojak, 2016 MAC Award nominee in the "Music Director" category, is banging his heart out majestically at the keyboard. I first created and performed "MWAH! The Dinah Shore Show" in 1997 and brought it back in February 2016 in honor of the great singer's 100th birthday. Dinah Shore was born on February 29, 1916.

So, get "Like, Hep!"
