It was at a time when Rock was synonymous with rebellion and daring that the story of Creedence began to be drawn. Thus, the band that won nine gold and seven platinum albums emerged to revive the genre's most conscious footprint, promoting change.

In this sense, its members mixed doses of Soul, Folk and Country with Rock, resulting in something unprecedented until then.
Unlike danceable and romantic Rock and Roll, they filled their lyrics with more in-depth perspectives, winning over a new audience.

The result was more than 26 million records sold in the United States alone.
Furthermore, they achieved success around the world and loyal fans during all phases of the band.

The meaning of Creedence has to do with friendship and faith. In this sense, the name first came about by combining the name of a friend of guitarist Tom Fogerty, called Credence Newball.

Then, they added “Clearwater”, taken from an Olympia Beer TV commercial. However, they added an “e” to the spelling, so that the name resembled “creed”.

So what does Creedence Clearwater Revival mean? The term “Revival” was added to symbolize the reunion between the members following the military draft of vocalist John Fogerty and drummer Doug Clifford.

The brothers and school friends had been playing together since 1959 and reunited in '67 for the first recordings and release of the album. And that was when they began a path of successes and challenges.

"Have You Ever Seen the Rain" is a song by American rock band Creedence Clearwater Revival, written by John Fogerty and released as a single in 1971 from the album Pendulum (1970).
The song peaked in Canada, reaching number one on the national RPM 100 singles chart in March 1971. In the US the same year, it reached number eight on the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart.
On the Cash Box pop chart, it peaked at number three. In the United Kingdom, it reached number 36.
It was the group's eighth single to sell gold.
In March 2023, the song surpassed one billion streams on Spotify.
Cash Box called the song "as close to a ballad as anything by CCR."
