Foo Fighters’ version of Born on the Bayou hides one of the coolest guitar solos in plain sight. Chris Shiflett brings speed, swagger, and that Jimmy Page-style edge to this Creedence Clearwater Revival classic; and it absolutely rips.

I first taught this when a student requested it, and since then I’ve shown it to a few more; it’s become a real favourite. It’s fast, it’s technical, and it’s got that loose, wild rock ’n’ roll feel that makes it such a hidden gem.
