About Evan Era ↴
Evan Era is a Jewish American rapper and entertainer. Born Evan Rosenman in Louisville, Kentucky USA, his passion for music began at a young age. With early influences from his father in the form of classical composers such as Johann Strauss, and his mother’s taste for southern sounds from the likes of Creedence Clearwater Revival and Johnny Cash. Evan’s older sister, Sasha, also greatly influenced his early taste in music; listening to modern artists such as Sublime, Beastie Boys, Limp Bizkit, Green Day, and Adam Sandler.

Evan’s passion for Hip Hop music sparked organically. As a youth, given the freedom to purchase any cassette tape he pleased, Evan picked up the album ‘Shorty The Pimp’ by the west coast rapper Too $hort... This album, and others like it, from rappers such as 2Pac, The Notorious B.I.G., Bone Thugs-n-Harmony, Three 6 Mafia, and Eminem shaped a young Evan’s love of rap music.

Evan later rose to fame as an award-winning YouTuber, performing magic tricks and pranks on his popular video series How To Magic. Prior to his widespread fame for magic, Evan performed in rap battles; going viral and landing him on the acclaimed website WorldStarHipHop.

Evan is a devoted single father to his daughter, Ava, who has appeared alongside him in many of his videos. He continues producing his online magic show while also writing, recording, mixing, mastering and engineering all of his own music as an independent rap artist.

On November 1, 2020, Evan independently released "NEW ERA" his critically acclaimed single through Tunecore distribution. Evan later released the official lyrics / visualizer video on YouTube, and independently produced this official music video on the islands of St. John and St. Thomas in the United States Virgin Islands.
