1-minute slice of Elvis Presley history...
Elvis's only ad - was for donuts...
The only advertisement ever made by Elvis, aired on the Shreveport concert show Louisiana Hayride on 6 November 1954.
The jingle for Southern Maid Donuts, went like this...
“You can get ‘em piping hot after 4 PM, you can get ‘em piping hot. Southern Maid Doughnuts hit the spot, you can get ‘em piping hot after 4 PM”.
No copies of the recording are known to have survived.
