The grounds of Forest Hill Cemetery in Memphis were covered in flowers,
with 3,116 arrangements delivered.
Also in Graceland.
Some fans sent arrangements in the shape of guitars,
hearts, and musical notes,
and by the afternoon, Memphis had run out of flowers and had to order more from across the country.
This day saw a massive outpouring of grief
and remembrance,
resulting in a significant surge in flower sales.
And the tradition still continues today
with floral tributes from around the world
filled Graceland ground and The Meditation Garden.
