Elvis Presley had a notorious temper. One night in 1974, while watching television at Graceland, he saw singer Robert Goulet performing. Without hesitation, Elvis pulled out one of his pistols and shot the TV screen. The story spread quickly, and Elvis admitted he did it often—when he didn’t like what was on. The smashed TV was later displayed at Graceland, complete with the bullet hole. It became one of Elvis’ strangest habits: if he didn’t like a show, he didn’t just change the channel—he destroyed it.
