Oh, Suzie Q, oh, Suzie Q
Oh, Suzie Q, baby, I love you, Suzie Q
I like the way you walk
I like the way you talk
I like the way you walk
I like the way you talk, Suzie Q
Well, say that you'll be true
Well, say that you'll be true
Well, say that you'll be true
And never leave me blue, Suzie Q
Well, say that you'll be mine
Well, say that you'll be mine
Well, say that you'll be mine
Baby, all the time, Suzie Q
Oh Suzie Q, oh Suzie Q
Oh Suzie Q, baby, I love you, Suzie Q
I like the way you walk
I like the way you talk
I like the way you walk
I like the way you talk, Suzie Q
Oh Suzie Q, oh Suzie Q
Oh Suzie Q, baby, I love you, Suzie Q
"Susie Q" song: A 1957 rockabilly song by Dale Hawkins that has been covered by many artists, including Creedence Clearwater Revival. Hawkins wrote the song with bandmate Robert Chaisson, but when released, Stan Lewis, the owner of Jewel/Paula Records and whose daughter Susan was the inspiration for the song.
Creedence Clearwater Revival released a version on their debut album in 1968. The band's only Top 40 hit not written by John Fogerty, it peaked at number for one week in November 1968. This song was their first big hit.
Creedence, was formed in El Cerrito, California, in 1959. The band consisted of the lead vocalist, lead guitarist, and primary songwriter John Fogerty; his brother, the rhythm guitarist Tom Fogerty; the bassist Stu Cook; and the drummer Doug Clifford. These members had played together since 1959, first as the Blue Velvets and later as the Golliwogs, before settling on Creedence Clearwater Revival in 1967.

All posts in this channel are rendered in old school using restored vinyl LPs. Unless noted, this channel does not use recordings from CDs. As much as possible, I attempted to remove most of the pops and crackles from the original vinyl album. Some remastering was applied to make the performance cut through within the confines of the loudness wars.
Hope you enjoy.
