Down On the Corner is from the 1969 LP Willy and the Poor Boys. It's about a fictional band called Willy and the Poor Boys - busking for nickels and good vibes. It reminds the audience that music can bring people together. It's one pot those songs that captured Creedence Clearwater Revival's knack for turning simple ideas into a timeless hit. A defining example of simple is best formula.

Written by John Fogerty. The chord progression is built around coowby chords G,C, D and F.

Creedence Clearwater Revival
John Fogerty – lead and backing vocals, lead guitar, piano, keyboards, harmonica, arranger
Tom Fogerty – rhythm guitar
Stu Cook – bass guitar
Doug Clifford – drums

All posts in this channel are rendered in old school using restored vinyl LPs. Unless noted, this channel does not use recordings from CDs. As much as possible, I attempted to remove most of the pops and crackles from the original vinyl album. Some remastering was applied to make the performance cut through within the confines of the loudness wars.

Hope you enjoy.
