When I was setting up for my previous video, I noticed a mejiro hanging around our Japanese andromeda plant. Since I had the video camera already set up, I decided to see if I could get some video of the mejiro together with the andromeda. I positioned the camera in a good spot, then waited patiently. Sure enough, the mejiro was attracted to the nectar of the flowers and I used a remote control device to start the camera recording so that I wouldn't scare the bird away. I ended up with some nice video!
Although the mejiro is green, I decided to record a rendition of Paul McCartney's "Bluebird" for the audio track. Hope you like it. By the way, a few months ago, the "Band on the Run" album just celebrated the 50th anniversary of its release.
