London reggae group Aswad stormed the charts in 1988 with their classic version of Luther Ingram's Don't Turn Around, written by Albert Hammond Diane Warren and first recorded by Tina Turner. Aswad formed in the mid-1970's, all three frontline members of Caribbean descent, their sound a mixture of reggae and soul and r'n'b.
