Over the extension of tenure and deputation of Nagaland Director General of Police, T. John Longkumer for another six months, social activist Kahuto Chishi Sumi accused the DGP as a ‘Teak thief’. Chishi stated how can people obey a person if a law enforcing agency breaks the law. Nagaland police needs a head of police who is righteous not who is corrupted. He further stated that Longkumer and Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio in various terms helped each other in safeguarding the post of power while there are many other deserving officers to attend for the post of DGP. Chishi also alleged that Rio and his government deliberately extended the tenure for T. John Longkumer
