"Let It Be" is a song by The Beatles, released in March 1970 as a single, and as the title track of their album Let It Be. Although credited to Lennon/McCartney it is generally accepted to be a Paul McCartney composition. The single reached #1 in the US, Australia, Italy, Norway and Switzerland and #2 in the UK. It was the final single released by the Beatles while the band was still active. Both the Let It Be album and the single The Long and Winding Road were released after the band announced their break-up. lyrics : When I find myself in times of trouble, mother Mary comes to me, speaking words of wisdom, let it be.
