Recorded by Abe Baker and Tony Restaino around September, 1959 for Laurel records in New York. In 1960, producer Rex Carlton bought the rights to it for his drive-in horror film, "The Brain That Wouldn't Die," for which the record is now best remembered. The film's graphic violence and gore were too much for audiences of 1960, so it sat unreleased until August 10, 1962, when a heavily censored version was distributed. By that time however, musical tastes had changed drastically. A gem, nevertheless.
