PERFORMANCE
Golden Slumbers – performed by Hummingsong Choirs, arranger Mac Huff and composers John Lennon and Paul McCartney.

Conductor - Sacha Kilgour

It was a stunning evening with the sun setting behind the Harbour Bridge as the stunning blue sky turned to dusk. The faces of the singers were lit up gold. A vast crowd assembled on the Monumental Steps to listen.

THE EVENT
On Friday night, the 28th of October, Hummingsong Choirs performed as part of the From the Steps: Voices at Dusk. An 11-day celebration of music, performance and community. This free event is part of the Opera House Sydney's 50th-anniversary celebrations. They aim to bring everyone together to celebrate the Opera House through song.

HUMMINGSONG CHOIRS
Hummingsong Choirs was established in 2012 by Founder and Artistic Director Anna Humberstone. Hummingsong Choirs are a thriving and joyous network of non-auditioned women's community choirs. They have grown from one choir into multiple choirs with a strong purpose to enrich the lives of local women through singing in harmony.
The joy of performing for Hummingsong Choirs is infused with a greater purpose: to give back to the community's women and children in need. Hummingsong is committed to raising awareness and support for local women and children escaping domestic violence. To find out more, visit https://www.hummingsong.com.au
