I dedicate this song to my friend Sandra, the saxophone player of our band. Everytime I’ll hear The Saxophone song I will think of the tone and musicality of Sandra.

What a great song Kate Bush has made; the saxophone and vocals are beautiful. The basspart is functional and gives the right ‘ambience’ to the song. The slides in bars 26, 32 and 34 are ‘spot on’: these slides are just what the song needs at that moment.

And I like the changes in the measure types (2/4 3/4 and 5/4) and the way Kate Bush makes these changes ‘natural’. She doesn’t gives you the feeling that she changes tha measures bacause of the changes; it just fits in within the song.

I play this song on a Fender Precision 1976 with flatwound strings.
